The Red Sox have claimed Johnny Damon off waivers. Is this the return of the Prodigal Son? I personally think he is washed up,(I think Johnny will decline the offer and widen the gap between him and the Red Sox. Just like he did when he negotiated with the yankees in 2004.) but it makes for a good story. Can Damon help the Sox pass the Rays for the wild card (5 1/2 games back) or even the yankees for the AL East crown.(6 1/2 games back). There is nothing like August & September baseball.
Johnny be good and don't screw up this one!
It will be interesting to see how this Johnny Damon saga plays out.
